Eric Sila is a holder of a Master's Degree in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Finance Option) from the University of Nairobi.He is a professional banker with leadership skills in Credit Risk Management, Credit administration and Operational Risk amongst others. He has extensive experience having worked in the banking industry for over 30 years in Barclays bank. NIC bank, NCBA bank, Equity Group Holdings Bank where he was also a member of Equity Staff Benefits Retirement Scheme. He is currently working at Kenya Commercial Bank as the Executive Head of Credit Origination and Corporate Services. In addition he has international leadership experience having led teams in corporate credit, business support, rehabilitation and recoveries in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Congo, Zambia and Tanzania.He is a formal Council member of Kenyatta University and has in the past chaired the Audit and Risk and Governance Committees as well as the Finance and Strategy Committee. He was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees in September 2020 and is currently the chair of the board of Trustees.
Prof. Waceke Wanjohi

Prof. Waceke Wanjohi, is a full Professor of Plant pathology in the School of Pure and Applied Sciences at Kenyatta University. She is a scholar of international repute with extensive university working experience that spans over 35 years. She has immensely contributed to university education through various innovative and collaborative initiatives and in her different leadership and management roles; both within and outside the University. As a result, she has been recognized both nationally and internationally; she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology; a Fellow of the Kenya National Academy of Sciences (KNAS); a Fulbright Senior Research Fellow; a Fellow of the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) and was recognized as an outstanding Scientist by the Falling Walls Foundation in Germany. Between 2009 and 2015, she served as an Independent External Expert in the Evaluation and Negotiation of the Annual Performance Contracts in the public sector on behalf of the Government of Kenya. She was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees in May 2024.

Dr. Paul M. Gachanja is the Registrar, Administration and Finance at Kenyatta University. He holds a Ph.D (Economics 2008), Master of Arts (Economics 1997) and Bachelor of Arts (Economics 1995) from Kenyatta University. He was appointed a Member of the Board of Trustees in April 2023

Mr. Samuel N. Mwai Is the Chief Finance Officer at Kenyatta University. He joined Kenyatta University in April 2016. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Education Degree (Accounting and Economics) from the University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Kenya. He was appointed a member of the Board of Trustees in September 2020.

Prof. Walter Njoroge is a senior lecturer in the Department of Physics, Kenyatta University. His main area of specialization is material science. He holds a PhD in Natural Sciences (2001) from the University of Aachen (Germany), MSc Physics (1993) and B.Ed (Science) (1990) both from Kenyatta University. Apart from teaching physics and supervision of postgraduate students, he has served the University in various administrative capacities since 1995. He was the chairman of physics department in the period 2011-2015. He has published widely in the area of novel materials in nano-scale for various technological applications; nanotechnology, phase change memories, photovoltaics and smart coatings. He was elected as a trustee in December 2022.

Dr. Otiato Wafula is a lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Kenyatta University. He has a PHD in Political Sociology and also a certified Public Secretary CPS (K) of more than ten years standing. He was elected as a trustee in September 2019 and re-elected in 2022.

She is Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Kenya. She was elected as a Trustee in December 2022.

Graduated at Kenyatta University in the year 1999 with a Bachelor of Education degree. Pursued and attained Graduate Diploma from Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supplies (CIPS) year 2006, Data analysis skills – JKUAT, TPDK-Certified Trustee - Kenya College of Insurance.
